Traffic - Some people worry that the planned access road to be built near The Wreay farm, off the B5288, would cause further danger on a road that has already had its fair share of accidents.  Everyone who knows the area knows the incredible speeds cars reach in the area of the two blind summits.

Kronos described the access road that would be required as “substantial”.  It’s a full sized, two lane road capable of supporting large lorries. We locals have been told that a housing development proposal in the same area was refused planning permission because it would cause too much traffic on an already dangerous road and we don’t understand why this would be any different.

It was pointed out by a member of Dacre planning committee that Mile Lane and the route through Greystoke are not suitable for heavy lorries so all traffic to the building site would have to pass through Penrith itself which no one is going to be happy about.
